The design of the Porsche 911 with its 6-cylinder boxer engine is closely intertwined with the history of Porsche AG. The 130 hp engine with 2 liters and each one overhead, driven by a timing chain camshaft per cylinder bank was the initial spark for the unique success story of the legendary sports cars from Zuffenhausen.
