EDITION 1:18
The GT racing car Porsche 934 was designed for use by private teams in the Sports Car World Championship, the German Racing Championship Division 1 as well as for the IMSA-GT series.
Employed by a number of private Porsche customers, the Porsche 934, produced between 1976 and 1977, quickly became a successful model. The 1120 kg Coupé, achieved a large number of racing successes in the GP European Championship, the Brand World Championship for production cars and numerous national championships.
The 3 litre six cylinder turbo engine developed on the basis of the Porsche 930, formed the basis for the engine of the 934. With enlarged inlet and outlet ducts, the changed camshafts and the mechanical petrol injection employed for the first time in a Porsche racing car, the engine produced at a speed of 7000 rpm an output of 485 hp.
Schuco is now exclusively copying the Porsche 934 of the “Brumos Racing” team with the start number 61 as an exclusive die cast miniature. Peter Gregg and Jim Busby, the well known pair of drivers starting for “Brumos Racing”, in the American Porsche team, achieved 10th place during the 24 hours Daytona race in 1977 in the Porsche 934, which is now being produced in a scale of 1:18 by Schuco.
Through a multitude of lovingly created details and individual components, the Schuco models know how to impress and also provide as much class as the originals.
A free view of the highly detailed, horizontally opposed engine is available by opening the tailgate as well as via the underbody.
Like both doors, the hood can be opened and permits a view of the extensive racing equipment of this Schuco model.
