Also featured in The True Scaleminiature 1/18 Resin lineup this year is a pair of 1976 Porsche 936s, including the world famous “Black Widow” Porsche that premiered at the Nurburgring 300km that year. Dubbed the “Black Widow” because of its matte black paint color, this Porsche 936, along with the Monza winner driven by Jacky Ickx, would help pave the way for consecutive Le Mans victories for Porsche in 1976 and 1977. Cloaked in the legendary colors of Martini Racing, these 1/18 closed bodied resin models are sure to feature the same incredible exterior detail as the aforementioned 924s, at the same considerable price. Both the 924s and 936s are prime examples of TSM-Models continued efforts to offer our collectors high quality resin models at a much more affordable price than most manufacturers can offer.
One of TSM-Models most anticipated releases in 2014 is sure to be its all new lineup of 1/18 resin scale Porsche 924 Carrera GTRs. In an effort to move away from the 911 and start the decade off fresh, Porsche decided to enter three 924 Carrera GTRs into the GTP class for the 1980 24 Hours of Le Mans. Hoping they would serve as the successor to the 935s, the 924s proved their reliability with all three finishing in the top 15. Pictured above in 1/18 resin scale, TSM-Models is excited to offer the Porsche 924 driven by Derek Bell and Al Holbert to a 13th place finish in the 1980 24 Hours of Le Mans. Draped in the colors of the American Flag, this closed bodied resin model features incredible detail at a much more affordable price than our usual 1/18 offerings. Also featured is a Brumos Porsche BF Goodrich 924 GTR that won the GTO class in the 1982 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Driven by Jim and Doc Busby, this is the only car to win its class racing with only regular street tires. Limited to only 500 pieces each, these rare models are sure to be desired by many, yet owned by a few.
Making its debut at this year’s International Toy Fair, TSM-Models will now offer products in a 1/12 scale resin format for the first time in its history. A great alternative to the larger, more expensive 1/8 offerings, our lineup of 1/12 scale products is sure to appeal to those collectors who are interested in a high end large scale model that is a bit more affordable and manageable in size. In what is sure to be one of our most anticipated models of the year, the 1/12 resin lineup will feature both of the world famous Porsche 917s that won the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans and Daytona. Closed bodied and extremely detailed, and emblazoned in the historic colors of Gulf Oil for Daytona along with the striking red and white trim for Le Mans, these models are sure to be the new centerpiece for any model collection.
